Our gite in Amboise, Chais Catherine, is an original, authentic and most of all comfortable place to stay.
Our wooden home-from-home is a large, barrel-shaped wine trailer. The interior is cleverly planned and furnished for wrap-around comfort. There is an alcove for sleeping and living room, kitchen, toilet and shower.
The ‘roulotte’ is parked in a private garden of 4000 sq.m within a quiet residential area, just 15 minutes walk from the historic centre of Amboise; there is secure access and parking.
Its raised terrace overlooks a delightful garden.

A home-from-home in a large garden close to the heart of Amboise
Our cottage gite is like a wooden home-from-home, with its terrace overlooking a 4000sq m garden of flowers and trees.
It is like a studio flat with a double bed in an alcove, isolated from the living room and the other two pull-out beds by a double curtain. The living space, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and toilet fit perfectly.
Although less than 15 minutes walk from the heart of Amboise and the banks of the Loire ou gite also has the advantage of seclusion set in a fenced park, with parking for to park your vehicle.
In summer, Catherine and Nicolas, your hosts, will install the jacuzzi in the garden and you can take bubble baths in this heated 6-seater swimming pool.

The wine trailer by its nature in harmony with the oenological theme of Touraine wines: appellations like Touraine-Amboise, Mesland, Azay-le-Rideau, Noble Joué, Montlouis, Chenonceau, Vouvray, Valençay, Chinon and Bourgueil. If you love wine, you’ll love Amboise. Map and documentation on site.
In town: restaurants and shops of all types, and a superb market on Fridays and Sundays. All year round shows, entertainment and sporting activities; A theatre, two cinema screens, as well as a summer swimming pool and a chlorine-free indoor swimming pool.

We spent a pleasant weekend in this small haven of peace despite the somewhat capricious weather. The rental is well furnished and very well equipped. It is located in Amboise, a very nice little town to visit.
2 beautiful nights spent in this atypical place! Very well located for visiting some beautiful castles of the Loire nearby, by bike or even on foot. The barrel is cozy and comfortable for a couple. Nicolas was a charming and discreet host! We recommend :)
