What is a reservation for a rural accommodation?

Rural lodges are holiday homes available for short-term rental. The entire accommodation will be at your disposal for the duration of your stay, as if you had a second home.

Unlike hotels and guest rooms, you will be independent, you do your shopping and get your own meals.

You are at home in the gîte with private common areas.

What should I bring for my stay at the gîte?

The rural gîte is a furnished rental. Bring only your personal belongings including your electronic devices.

Exceptional service from Chais Catherine: household linen is provided: sheets, tea towels and towel kits.

We always provide basic kitchen essentials such as oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. The rest must be brought with you or purchased in town.

The cottage is equipped, you will find equipment for cleaning, cooking, washing, etc.

Are there any extra charges to pay?

Our rental price includes water, gas, electricity and heating.

We also provide a free WiFi internet connection.

Pets are accepted after agreement with the owner, a supplement will be requested.

How does the departure and arrival happen?

We will welcome you on site, show you around the accommodation, give you the explanations you need and give you the keys to the accommodation.

For departure, we will also be present to take stock of the premises with you and collect the keys

Arrivals take place from 5 p.m. and departure before 10 a.m. If you need special times, contact us to agree on arrival and departure arrangements.

You may be greeted on site by a person we have assigned for this purpose. She will show you around the accommodation, give you the explanations you need and give you the keys to the accommodation.

For departure, this same person will be present to take inventory of the exit premises with you and collect the keys.

Can I get a rental contract?

Once you have booked, we will send you an email confirmation with our rental conditions and a rental agreement to return to us.

This confirmation is final if you have paid the entire reservation and receipt in return for the contract.

In the event of payment by cheque, holiday vouchers or transfer, an option is placed on the gîte until you validate the contract and we receive your full payment or a minimum deposit of 30%. The deadline for receipt of the balance is then specified, generally 30 days. Beyond that, the gite is put back on sale for the requested period.

In this confirmation e-mail, you will have a personal link which will allow you to find all the information about your reservation. We use the services of "Gîte et Bien" for our reservations and these tools allow us to offer you reservation tracking as if you had reserved on major platforms such as AirBnb, Booking or Gîtes de France.

Sometimes we ask you to pay the entire stay or pay the balance upon arrival.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes, it is possible to book with a deposit of 30% of the reservation amount to confirm the reservation.

When your stay is near, we may ask you to pay the entire stay in the deposit or agree with you to pay the balance on the day of your arrival.

What are the cancellation conditions?

Once your reservation is confirmed with payment of the deposit, the cancellation conditions depend on the proximity of the stay. The sooner we receive a cancellation, the higher the refund will be since we will have time to offer accommodation again to other customers. If you cancel shortly before the stay, then we keep part of the reservation amount.

Each reservation is different and has its own cancellation conditions. We invite you to consult our general conditions of sale from the footer of this page or log into your reservation area where the cancellation conditions specific to your stay are indicated.

Can I take out cancellation insurance?

We do not offer cancellation insurance ourselves, but there are many insurance companies on the internet that offer this service. Go to Google and type in “Cancellation insurance”, you will find many.

The best known is that of Europ Assistance, but there are many others. Be careful to compare, it is not the most expensive that are the best.
